Gmail 空間滿了，信件已經刪除可用容量空間還是96%~99%沒變化


[h1]空間滿了，但是怎麼刪除，還是 96% 97% 98% 99% 已使用[/h1]


Gmail 的「刪除郵件」一律會先跑到「垃圾桶」
而在垃圾桶的，一律還算「已使用容量」，也就是說還是算佔用你的 Google Mail 空間。

而 Google 為了某些原因
e.g. 可能是他們的產品經理信箱有超大的容量、或者為了簡潔的畫面。
把「垃圾桶」放到「還有 N 個」（如圖）的下拉選項。

雖然垃圾桶宣稱「30 天會自動清除」
但是還是常常有使用者抱怨
「為什麼我刪除了信，但是容量空間還是滿的？」
「快幫我處理，我已經都刪除了所有信件，一封都不剩，為什麼還是 99%」

答案就在下方的圖片，
只要「下拉左方的還有 3 個」 --> 「垃圾桶」 --> 「立即清空 [垃圾桶]」即可。

請記住：從垃圾桶刪除清空的，無法復原！

但是很多用習慣 Outlook / Exchange 的使用者，

可能覺得沒有讀取回條或送達通知，非常不習慣。

變更改變 Picasa 2/3 的 C: 碟資料庫/暫存目錄


[h1]使用 Junction 變更改變 Picasa 2/3 的 C: 碟資料庫目錄[/h1]

Google Picasa 很好用，但是他把資料庫和暫存檔都預設放在 C:/ 槽
如果你的 C:\ 很珍貴（如 Flash-SSD），很容易就不夠用。

此時可用微軟的 Junciton.exe 來達成更換目錄的效果

Step 1: 下載微軟免費的 Sysinternal "Junction.exe" 工具
=> http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896768 (77.7 KB)

Step #2: 把 junction.exe 複製到 "C:\Windows" （可存取的目錄）並且關閉執行中的 Picasa 軟體

Step #3: 找到你位於 C: 碟的 Picasa 資料庫目錄/暫存目錄
以 XP 為例子，同常在這裡：
代碼:

C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Picasa2\


Step #4: 把寄存的資料庫目錄 db3 和暫存目錄 temp 移除到「有足夠空間」的，如 D:/ F:/

move "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Picasa2\db3" "f:\"
move "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Picasa2\temp" "f:\"

你也可以整個 Picasa2/3 目錄一起搬動，
這裡只用搬動 db3 + temp 作為範例


Step #5: 搬動之後，進入 cmd.exe 執行下列 Junction.exe 進行目錄連結
代碼:

junction "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Picasa2\db3"  "F:\db3"
junction "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Picasa2\temp" "F:\temp"


大功告成。



[h1]刪除建立好的 Junction Link[/h1]

很簡單 "junction -d"

代碼:

junction -d "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Picasa2\db3"
junction -d "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Picasa2\temp"


刪除之後，記得把目錄搬回去原來 Picasa 的目錄。(2011-04-28 23:01)

Step 1: Download Microsoft Sysinternal "Junction.exe" Tools

Step #2: Copy junction.exe into your "C:\Windows", then, Close your Picasa Appplicaiton

Step #3: Locate your Picasa Folder which may easily consume many Storage

It usually located at
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Picasa2\
or
similar locations


Step #4: Move existed DB & TEMP if necessary (Assume our target is F:\)

move "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Picasa2\db3" "f:\"
move "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Picasa2\temp" "f:\"

You could too move it by "Explorer" drag-and-drop.





Step #5: Use Junction.exe to Create Folder Link (Like ln -s in UNIX)

junction "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Picasa2\db3"  "F:\db3"
junction "C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Local Settings\Application Data\Google\Picasa2\temp" "F:\temp"



[h1]How to Delete/Unlink Picasa Junction Folder(Restore)[/h1]

Just use "junction -d" to delete the folder-link

代碼:

and, then
Remeber to move the folder back to Original Picasa Directory.

Gmail 在實驗室/研究室 (Gmail Labs) 提供了背景傳送的服務，
Google Apps Gmail 服務看起來也有。

背景傳送用途：
=> 例如：有好幾封大量的郵件要送，但是附件都很大，想要放到後台背景處理
=> 例如：信已經寫好了，但是傳送中的過程中，就想要先閱讀別的信件



背景傳送限制：
=> 當然，你必須要保持登入狀態（瀏覽器不可關閉）

[h2]不良 GUI 設計的理由[/h2]
1. 一個簡單的 Flash Player 更新，需要按「四次」，而且同一個「安裝」就要按兩次，那前一次是按辛酸的嗎？

安裝：則要按 4 次 + 三個視窗 (4 Clicks + 3 Windows to Install)
不安裝：只要按 1 次 + 一個視窗 (Only 1 Click to Defer Install)

2. Adobe Flash Player 更新通常包含「安全性」更新，
但是不曉得為什麼，Adobe 卻提供了兩次讓使用者「不安裝」的機會！？ 讓使用者暴露於風險中？


3. 前後這兩個視窗，左邊的按鈕式都是表示「不安裝」，右邊的按鈕都是「安裝」；但是 checkbox 在兩個同樣的位置，卻表示不一樣的意思。


[h2]GUI 如何改良？[/h2]
使用者同意安裝，就代表他同意授權；不需要這樣虐待你的使用者，尤其這是和網路安全相關的增強。

也就是： 把兩個視窗 --> 合併成一個視窗， 讓使用者「按一次」就好！

然後提供進階的設定，
讓「不安裝」有機會手動「安裝」
讓「安裝」者有機會手動「反安裝」(2011-04-24 02:00)
