Hello,
I was wondering if paper dolls (the traditional paper dolls that are actually on paper) are still available for purchase in Taiwan market, and if so, how much is a book of paper dolls? I am a fan of paper dolls but I lost my collection while I left Taiwan long time ago.
I'd really appreciate it if anyone would answer my question. Sorry, I can't type Chinese on this computer.
🎨 cool!

I don't think you can find the old versions here now,(so there's little chance to find the exact paper dolls you had before. Sorry.....)
There's still some paper dolls you can find in small shops.( they don't cost much but they're not in very good quality, though.)
In fact, I think you have the best quality and quantity of paper dolls in the US! Why not start a new collection there?:)

Thank you so much for answering my question, Myzer.
I am so disappointed that Taiwan no longer manufacture that type of paper dolls! 😐 The paper dolls in the US are not nearly as cute and/or pretty as the ones I had before (I like the pretty anime/cartoon-y styles.), and they are not all that common, either; I've seen them only online. *sniff*
Hmmph.. oh, well.. Thank you, again! It was fun; this was my 1st time posting in a tw message board. 😜
Keep up with your good work!

Oh, my gosh! I am so glad I came back to check the forum. Thanks for the postings!
I went to look at the links that you gave, but I didn't see the ones you were talking about that you bought - the one from Yahoo auctions. The auction ended and I guess they removed the pictures?
But I look at what other things the seller was selling and I saw some! This link has some paper dolls that remind me of the kinds that I had when I was younger:

I am really excited to see paper dolls like these again!! How big are they? I recently bought one from Ebay (shipped from 加拿大), and the booklet was smaller than what I thought they would be. I was happy, nevertheless, though. :)
THANK YOU THANK YOU, for posting 淡水老街 (I'll keep that in mind if I ever go visit Taiwan next time) and for directing me to these links... I have to see if I can buy them.. Maybe get my brother in Taiwan to get them for me; but he might laugh at me for wanting them. 😃
You guys made my day. 😂
Feel free to write in Chinese. I read and understand, but just can't type in Chinese well. :)

Fame,
I just took a closer look at the auctions and I realized that the picture you were talking about (third one on the page) is the kind of paper dolls that I was talking about!!!
Does it come in a book like the old times? How many dolls or clothes does each book have? How come the seller says to pick 4 books when he only gave 3 kinds of styles? I am so tempted to force my brother to bid on it (the seller won't sell it to other countries).
Hope you are still checking the forums.. Hope to hear from you soon!
Cheers

Acutually,I would prefered the paper dolls in Taiwan, since the US paper dolls are much more expensive, and not that pretty. On paper @@? I thought they are on very thin paper board :(

I wouldn't know. I've never seen any paperdoll books. I haven't really looked for them, really. The ones I've seen are from ebay, and of course I can't tell if the paper is thick or thin cardboard.
I agree with you definitly. Paperdolls in Taiwan (at least the ones that I am accustomed to) are the better!
It seems that the only seller that sells that kind of paper dolls is the one that fame suggested. The seller seems to only have very limited selections, also. :(
