身即山川－黃光男畫展 2018/11/27 ~ 2018/12/20
Body as Mountain and River - Solo Exhibition by Huang Kuang-Nan
展覽簡介
黃光男的水墨美學，近可以探源戰後第一代水墨大師，遠可以上溯中國宋代繪畫。宋代畫家郭熙說：「身即山川而取之」，黃光男亦曾以此語為主題多次為文申論。這次的展覽，便是以黃光男源自郭熙的繪畫美學為主題，深入他的水墨創作之中的心物合一境界，並依此進行作品的分類與展示設計。
「身即山川」既意味著畫家以自己的身體去親近山川，也意味著山川正是畫家身體不可或缺的肢體範圍，沒有山川也就沒有完整的身體。而明顯可見地，黃光男的水墨作品之中，山水、樹石、街市、花鳥都是身體場域。因此，這次的展覽呈現給觀眾的是，藝術家身在田園、身在都市、身在社會與身在靜觀的多重美感經驗。..
Huang Kuang-Nan's ink aesthetics can be traced near to the postwar first-generation ink painting masters and far to the Chinese painting of Song Dynasty. The Song painter, Guo Xi said, "Body as mountain and river, therefore to paint is to be there." Huang Kuang-Nan also writes articles to give a detailed exposition of this expression. This exhibition features Huang Kuang-Nan's painting aesthetics originating from Guo Xi, explores deep into the level of communion of object and mind in his ink creation, and accordingly categorizes the works and does the exhibit arrangement.
"Body as mountain and river" means that the painter gets close to the landscape with his own body and that the landscape is the indispensable extension of the painter's body. Without the landscape, there is no complete body. It is evidently that in Huang Kuang-Nan's ink works, mountains, waters,..trees, rocks, streets, towns, flowers, and birds all belong to the body fields. Therefore, this exhibition expects to present the viewers with the multiple aesthetic experiences of the artist of the farm, of the city, of the duty, and of the meditation.
藝術家介紹
黃光男是二次大戰之後水墨東渡以來的第二代傑出藝術家。師承第一代水墨大師傅狷夫、黃君璧與林玉山，從而在第二代水墨藝術家之中建立屬於自己的新文人畫風格。
1944年出生於高雄農家，作品常有田園詩意。北上從事藝術教學與擔任公職以來，雖然長居都市，作品仍流露濃郁的人文關懷。處於現代與當代藝術思潮之中，也強調水墨藝術的時代意涵。
過去三十餘載，屢受國家重用，出任文化要職，直到政務委員與國策顧問，但其生命內涵充滿藝術與美學力量，也因此，水墨藝術一直是黃光男生命實踐的核心。
Huang Kuang-Nan is an outstanding artist of the second generation after ink painting went eastward after World War II. He used to receive the instructions and teachings from the first-generation ink masters, Fu Chuan-Fu, Huang Chun-Pi, and Lin Yu-Shan, and established his own style of new lit-erati painting among the second-generation ink artists.
He was born in a farmer's family in Kaohsiung in 1944. His works are often with the pastoral poetic feeling. Since his engagement in art teaching and public service in the north, his works have been overflowed with the humanistic care despite his long residence in the city. In the modern and contemporary art thinking, he also emphasizes the time meaning of ink art.
In the past thirty something years, he has been put in the important positions by the country and served as the significant cultural positions such as Minister without Portfolio and National Policy Advisor to the President. However, his life content is full of the power of art and aesthetics. Therefore, ink art has always been the core of Huang Kuang-Nan's life practice...
策展人介紹
廖仁義，法國巴黎第十大學美學博士，曾任巴黎臺灣文化中心主任、宜蘭縣立蘭陽博物館館長，目前為國立臺北藝術大學博物館研究所所長。專攻美學、藝術評論與藝術博物館研究，著有《審美觀點的當代實踐：藝術評論與策展論述》等書。
Liao Jen-I, PhD, Aesthetics, University of Paris-Nanterre, France. He had assumed the office of director of Cultural Center of Taiwan in Paris and the director of Lanyang Museum. He is actually the director of Graduate Institute of Museum Studies, Taipei National University of the Arts. Hespecialized in aesthetics, art criticism and art museum study. His works include "Contemporary Practice of Aesthetic Perspective: Art Criticism and Curatorial Discourse", and so on.
